The pages of my site load very slowly. Apparently my host isnt particularly MODX friendly, and some pages Have lots of images - but i doubt these would cause the delay as some pages with less images loads very slowly too. -
How can i get more information with regards to the cause? Where should I look into?

Hello,
I'd suggest for starters switching to a more MODX friendly host. If your having issues this early in the game, what happens if you have bigger issues with the site? That being said there isn't much you can do to fix a performance issue if it's host related, other than changing hosts.
Could you elaborate on the performance problems some? Do the pages load slowly, the manager, both, or just the images?

Both the pages and the manager load slowly. The manager crashes often, I'll try to find more information about the server.

Sorry about the delayed response, it appears notifications aren't liking me...
It sounds a lot like your hosting environment is the source of the problem, as MODX can be very snappy with solid hosting.
