is a login in the manager also a login in web context? ACL's

FYI, if your plugin is only connected to one event, there's no need for a switch statement or any reference to the event name.

Ok, this is something i don't understand.
i have

$modx->log(xPDO::LOG_LEVEL_ERROR,'-OnManagerLogin in weblogin plugin'.$modx->user->get('username'));

registered on the onMAnagerLogin event and the Log gives me this

[2014-02-23 11:35:11] (ERROR @ /manager/index.php) -OnManagerLogin in weblogin plugin(anonymous)

even when i login in the manager with my admin account. Why would the user be anonymous huh

???
It looks like $modx->user is the user on the web Context... And not the user in mgr.

any ideas?

$modx->user may not be set or may not be you at that point. The variable typically passed to plugins attached to that event is $user. Try that.

the thing to use was

$user = $modx->getAuthenticatedUser('mgr');
