I just installed phpThumbsup and attempting to apply to an slider, and now the images do not show up–only the tiny ? for missing images.

a path is generated in the page source that looks something like this: /phpthumbsup/src/assets/images/myimage.jpg

I don't see a directory in my file list named phpthumbsup/src
My src for the original images is indeed at assets/images

I'm running MODx 2.2.10. Server is running php 5.2.8 and Imagemagick 6.6.1-9

Had anyone else had this issue?

I wasn't smart enough to figure what the problem was, but have found that phpThumbsup doesn't work for me, but pThumb does.
Maybe my hosting, paths etc - may be worth a try to uninstall phpThumbsup and try pThumb

Thanks for the input. Does pThumb though resize images based on screen size? I was very excited to find the phpthumbsup add-on. I was just about to give Adaptive-Images when I discovered phpThumbsUp.

Still no success in figure out how to make phpThumbsUp function.

Do I need to create a directory called phpthumbsup and place it a core/cache/"put phpthumbsup here?"

The phpThumbsUp settings for Cache Path indicate something to that affect if I am understanding it correctly. Shouldn't that directory have been created? Is this the solution? What type of permissions should be on this directory if I create it on the server? Or, can I create it through the manager files panel, and might that method apply appropriate permissions?

          I do have a core/components/phpthumbsup

Any feedback on this would be helpful.

Impatience got the better of me. Through the MODx manager, I created the directory phpthumbsup and placed it here:
            core/cache/phpthumbsup

Permissions on the directory are: 755
            Writable by the owner: apache

Images still show up with a question mark.
Safari Web Inspector show 5 Failure to Load Internal Server Errors 500.
Coincidentally, I have 5 images in my slider.

            I give up.
