Create new publsihed document / override existing document via draft version

Dear all MODxr,

does anybody has a tip for creating documents from drafts or how MODx is able to override existing documents with a draft version? I read this approach: http://ichosemodx.wordpress.com/2010/08/02/updating-a-published-resource-from-a-draft-copy/ and I am excited if this could be implemented into the CMS?

Looking forward for hints and help.

thanks to you both, sounds like very interesting features we have to play with. in the end our editoral team should not be able clear the cache to slow down the frontend for users. The changes should go productive once a day and a cron should write the cache then for the whole site in the early morning. but the editorial staff should have the possibilty to preview changes on existing resources.

the cachemaster addon seems to be ours plus we will create a script to empty and rewrite the cache via a cronjob once a day. thanks!
