    I am trying to create a wayfinder menu with a clean install of modx according to http://www.muddydogpaws.com/development/wayfinder/examples/example-2.html but my menu keeps appearing like:
    menu 1
    submenu 1
    submenu 2
    etc

    I have create all the chunks as said on the link fx &parentRowTpl=`cssplay_parentRow` and so forth with all the chunks and finally adding the snippet call. What am i doing wrong?

      Can you show your snippet call and the chunks?
      Do you have a link to your site?

        Of course...
        The site is: http://www.advice-it.dk/modx/

        Snippet call:
        [[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`3` &parentClass=`hide` &parentRowTpl=`cssplay_parentRow` &outerTpl=`cssplay_outer` &innerTpl=`cssplay_inner` &rowTpl=`cssplay_row` &outerClass=`menu` &cssTpl=`cssplay_basicdd`]]

        Chunks:
        1.
        &cssTpl=`cssplay_basicdd`

        <link rel="stylesheet" media="all" type="text/css" href="assets/snippets/wayfinder/configs/cssplay-basicdropdown.config.php" />
        <!--[if lte IE 6]>
        <link rel="stylesheet" media="all" type="text/css" href="assets/snippets/wayfinder/configs/cssplay-basicdropdown.config.php" />
        <![endif]-->

        2.
        &innerTpl=`cssplay_inner`

        <ul>
            [+wf.wrapper+]
        </ul>

        3.
        &outerTpl=`cssplay_outer`

        <div[+wf.classes+]>
            <ul>
                [+wf.wrapper+]
            </ul>
        </div>

        4.
        &parentRowTpl=`cssplay_parentRow`

        <li><a [+wf.classes+] href="[+wf.link+]" title="[+wf.title+]">[+wf.linktext+]</a>
            <!--[if lte IE 6]>
            <a class="sub" href="[+wf.link+]" title="[+wf.title+]">[+wf.linktext+]
            <table><tr><td>
            <![endif]-->
            [+wf.wrapper+]
            <!--[if lte IE 6]>
        	</td></tr></table>
            </a>
            <![endif]-->
        </li>

        5.
        &rowTpl=`cssplay_row`

        <li[+wf.classes+]><a href="[+wf.link+]" title="[+wf.title+]">[+wf.linktext+]</a>[+wf.wrapper+]</li>

        I Hope this helps? huh

          Your cssplay_basicdd chunk is not right.

          It should reference basic_dd.css, not the php file:

          <link rel="stylesheet" media="all" type="text/css" href="assets/templates/wayfinder/basic_dd.css" />
          <!--[if lte IE 6]>
          <link rel="stylesheet" media="all" type="text/css" href="assets/templates/wayfinder/basic_dd_ie.css" />
          <![endif]-->

          Also, you have to copy the basic_dd.css and basic_dd_ie.css files to that location so it can find them there.

            As BobRay said, also I’m not sure that menu supports 3 levels as standard, I think it is a horizontal top level with vertical dropdowns and you have the menu twice on the page in a vertical format.

                So... Now i have copied the two css files to the appropriate location, but still no difference. Please notice that in the source on the site the css files does not appear anywhere. I’ve attached a screenshot from the management of chunks. Does this looks allright? I Have also tried to replace ` with ’ but no difference does it make.

                  It definitely has to be a backtick (`) not a single quote (’), so don’t change those.

                  You should be able to find those files in the assets/snippets/wayfinder/examples/cssplay directory.

                  Copy them to the assets/templates/wayfinder directory (you’ll probably have to create the wayfinder subdirectory) and you should be in business.

                    I found the files as you said, but still not getting my menu :-(

                    This is my body... I have looked pratically the chunks, snippet and code through several times. I have to do something wrong!
                    Body:
                    <body>
                    <div class="TopLogo"><a href="#"><img src="[(base_url)]assets/templates/advice/images/banner.png" alt="Tryk for at komme til startsiden" width="800" height="129" class="LinkImg" /></a></div>
                    <div class="Navigation"></div>
                    <div class="Content">
                      <div class="ContentText">
                      <h3>[*longtitle*]</h3><br />
                    [[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &level=`3` &parentClass=`hide` &parentRowTpl=`cssplay_parentRow` &outerTpl=`cssplay_outer` &innerTpl=`cssplay_inner` &rowTpl=`cssplay_row` &outerClass=`menu` &cssTpl=`cssplay_basicdd`]]
                     [*#content*]
                      </div>
                    </div>
                    <div class="ContentFooter"></div>
                    <div class="Footer"><img src="[(base_url)]assets/templates/advice/images/Footer.png" width="800" height="43" /></div>
                    </body>

                      I looked at your site in Firefox with Firebug and the basic_dd.css file is definitely not loading. I also don’t see the name of the .CSS file when looking at the site with "view source."

                      That means that the chunk is not loading.

                      I think I see your problem. The chunk name (what you show at the top of the screen shot) should be just the name of the chunk -- no ampersand, no quote marks:

                      So, in the chunk name window, just this:

                      cssplay_basicdd

                      Your other chunks are probably misnamed also.

                      Bob
