Using the Articles addon and Friendly URLs, my articles are currently being displayed as 'website.com/articles/2014/02/04/article-alias-name' (where '/articles/' is the Articles container alias). Is it possible to set the Articles container as the site root, so my URLs get displayed as 'website.com/2014/02/04/article-alias-name' instead?

The best I've been able to achieve is setting the Articles container as the site_start in system settings.

    TIA.

Try setting the Articles alias to /

The / will disappear in the field, but it should work as you wish.

The '/' disappears when I save the resource (leaving the alias field blank), this formats the article URL to how I want, however it results in a 503 error when trying to view the resource.
