      I was getting a bunch of errors too, phpThumbOf just stopped working completely after I updated.

      I recommend changing to pThumb - http://modx.com/extras/package/pthumb a fork of phpThumbOf that fixes a few issues and is faster. Changing to this fixed everything for me.

      **Uninstall phpThumbOf before installing pThumb; you don't have to change your :phpthumbof filters, they'll just work.

        thanks for answer - its work. BUT something strange...cached files is larger from original is that normal?
        for exampel my original image is 133KB, but cache file is 312KB....? why?

          I'm not too sure why an increase would occur, I've just checked and compared the size of my cached images and haven't noticed a difference. Are you outputting to JPG or PNG, outputting to PNG will result in larger file sizes.

          Two things you can do.
          1) first try setting the quality percentage on your phpthumbof call like phpthumbof&q=70 (0-100%).
          2) in System Settings, under phpThumbOf, clear your image cache by changing Cache Cleaning Level to 2 and then Site > Clear Cache (change this back to 0 afterwards). Then change Use pThumb Cache to Yes, to use their version of caching which is more semantic and cleaner - not sure if this will improve file size, but it's worth a shot.

          You may also want to change the pThumb Cache Location setting to store your cached images in a preffered directory (default is assets/image-cache)

          Let me know if anything changes.
