AdvSearch: how to use placeholderPrefix and Queryhook?

I'm using AdvSearch to search for users. This is all working, but I would like to use placeholder prefixes for the results. If I don't do this, somehow the placeholders like [[+fullname]] are overwritten with the data of the currently logged in user (elsewhere on the page the profile snippet is used to show a welcome message to the logged in user and that's where these placeholders get set). How would I go about this? Thanks!
