    Hello,

for smaller sites we’re hosting some stuff on servage.net. We recently installed a MODx 0.9.6.1 installation there, which works ok basically. Only when i use the MODx filemanager and create a folder, the owner of the new folder is "webserver". When i now try to upload a file to this newly created folder it cannot write to the folder. All the other folders are owned by "you". Any idea how i can solve this?

Any files or folders that a script creates will be owned by whichever user the script runs as. In most Apache mod_php installations, this will be the Apache user.

You should be able to go into your domain’s control panel and use their file management feature to either change owner or change permissions.

If your scripts need to be able to write to these folders and files, they need to either be owned by that Apache user, or have world-writable (777) permissions.
