Hello,
I have recently installed MODX for the first time as I have decided that it is a good solution for a website project that I am currently working on.
I have successfully brought across my design into MODX and have created chunks , snippets , enabled seo friendly urls , installed bread crumbs and tinyMCE.
An issue I am having however is creating a sub-directory, placing the page within it and then displaying the correct paths within the breadcrumbs.
So this is my structure:
web
homepage
sub-directory
my-page
When I click view page I get the following URL : http://localhost:8181/modx/sub-directory/my-page (This is the url I want displayed within the breadcrumb)
The breadcrumb however gives the following URL: http://localhost:8181/modx/sub-directory/sub-directory/my-page (For some reason the sub-directory name is provided twice)
Now I have looked at the settings and tried to resolve this myself but I can't seem to get to the bottom of it. I do see that on "my-page" under settings > freeze URI that the page URI is set to "sub-directory/my-page" , however when I remove "sub-directory" from the URI the page loads instead as if it was placed in the root directory: http://localhost:8181/modx/my-page/
I hope that makes sense and someone can guide me in the correct direction.
Also on another note, when I place my page within the sub-directory I obviously have to update the paths to the images which works fine for displaying the content on the front end. However this breaks the display of the images in the back end of the cms, is there a way to fix this ?
Thanks
Michael
