I have an older site setup using MODx 0.9.0. I embarrassed to say, I've been MIA for a long time,and hoping someone can pass on a migration path to Evo. Step one would be to backup the current installation. Beyond that, is what I am requesting.

When moving the files do not replace the snippet files, and when running the installer in upgrade mode again do not upgrade the snippets. Everything else won't be a problem.
After the upgrade, start replacing the snippets one at a time. The reason for doing this with the snippets is that some of them have changed enough to cause errors in your old-version snippet calls because the options have changed.
You probably used something like DropMenu for your menus, you should update those to use Wayfinder. I'm pretty sure Ditto is backwards-compatible to use older options in the snippet tag, but it wouldn't hurt to go through it and update your snippet calls to use the new options. AjaxSearch also has changed - it will display an error message telling you what you need to update in the snippet calls.
Make sure to delete all files and all of the elements in the Manager that you aren't using. Some of them are vectors for security breaches.
