phpthumbof partly stopped working with 2.2.11 [SOLVED] use pthumb instead

I am using Revo 2.2.11

I had this working perfect which was being used in the template of a get resources call and in the tpl I had it working with the following


The site has not been touched for a while and I just added more content and found the images were not being processed by phpthumbof, after I cleared the cache I find that the only phpthumbof call that works are the ones in the MIGx call which are also in a tpl but get output by the getimagelist snippet.

I don't recall changing anything or updating snippet however I did update Revo recently to 2.2.11 so can only think this update is the issue i am am not a technical user so was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on where to start to try and find what might have made the code that did work suddenly stop.

Just uploaded my 2.2.10 files over the top of the 2.2.11 ones now everything works again.
Looks like something to do with phpthumbof not working to great with 2.2.11

Not exactly the fix I wanted but its now working again.

phpthumbof hasnt been updated for a long time, i'd try pthumb as it uses exactly the same syntax as phpthumbof but much faster.

pthumb has replaced all of our phpthumbof outputs on our sites.

2.2.11 also had a change to the phpthumb class object which is probably somewhat to blame also .

That sounds perfect I will give that a try this weekend when I get some time thanks very much for the advice.
How do you professionals get to hear about these new additions am I missing some Twitter feed or something as I just do this as a hobby.

Oh, and just make sure you UNinstall phpthumbof before you install pthumb.

Excellent everything works a treat now with 2.2.11 thanks for you advice and pthumb works quicker on first page view before things get cached as per the info on the pthumb snippet page.
