Best way to replace a document resource?

I'm replacing some older pages with newer pages that have been created as new resources within ModX, essentially they are versioned and prior to being approved they exist as their own document id.

E.g.

Old Homepage V1 (resource ID 1)
New Homepage V2 (resource ID 200)

Is there a simple way I can replace the content of the old homepage document with the new document? I want to avoid manually updating the old document to match the new one as there is lots of configuration around template variables and MIGX that would take a while to reproduce (this is for several pages, not just the homepage).

I also don't want to have to change pointers to document ID 1 to document ID 200 everywhere they occur if I can avoid it, I'm bound to miss some this way.

So I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to how I can swap the new homepage for the old page.

I think that there are also settings to determine which resource's pagetitle, longtitle, etc field to use, but I've not worked with them enough to be exactly sure of how that works.
