    Hi,
I managed to move my site onto a new server.
    Apache version 2.2.26
    PHP version 5.4.23
    MySQL version 5.5.34-cll
    Operating system linux

I gzipped everything up as per the documentation, dumped the database, moved the files, imported the database into the new db, amended all of the instances of the old site-paths to the new ones, ran setup with no problems. I can log into the manager amend stuff etc. but when I try and view any resource either from the manager or from the web all I get is:

    "Not Found

The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

There's an existing .html document in the site root would that cause a problem - I wouldn't have thought so? Also the site has not yet gone live so I'm accessing it through a temporary url having edited the hosts file on my computer - but it works OK to get into the manager.

After a lot of messing about I tried renaming the iex.phtml file to findex.phtml!
    That did the trick smiley
I'd read about how I could develop my site alongside an existing static site - but maybe that only works if you have control of the server?

    regards
    Allan
