The new feature that is supposed to make sure people don't loose edits is done all wrong. The message shows up EVERY time you leave a resource page, whether or not you have actually changed anything, or clicked on anything. This message should appear ONLY if something has changed. As it is, it is extremeley annoying, and my clients will certainly complain. Is there some system preference to turn it off?

I to have this problem. It has started appearing lately, first only in Chrome but now also in Firefox. I thought Revo 2.2.11 was supposed to fix this? Or?

EDIT: I have looked in the manager\assets\modext\sections\resource\update.js file, but I can't find the 'e.browserEvent.returnValue = '';' line anywhere.
I also have cleared my browser cache, but to no avail.
I'm stumped. :-/

2.2.11 does fix the unwanted appearance of the alert as well as introduce the wanted appearance of it (i.e. when changes have been made). As the other thread suggests, you will need to force refresh your browser to load the new javascript which solves this in the new release.

Hm I tested right now and it seems to work alright for "normal" pages, but for Articles the problem persist. Is there some way to make the same fix for Articles as well? Which file should I edit?

EDIT: it occasionally happens on "normal" pages as well, but not every time as it does for Articles. I have cleared my browser cache, closed the browser, then pressed ctrl+f5 once inside the manager again; but I'm sorry to say still no luck.
EDIT 2: My client reports that this is also happening in Safari.
EDIT 3: Everything else works fine and there is no error-log to speak of, just this small thing driving me bonkers. PS: MODx still rocks, thank you to all you guys working to make it better! =)

I too am experiencing this message popping up all over the place. It even pops up when I log out, on resources I have not touched and even sometimes when I press 'save' on editing a page. If I have the 'add another' icon selected, I expect to save the document I am working on and a new document to open up. This happens however I first get the 'Navigation Confirm - are you sure you want to leave this page' message.
Apart from the annoying message, everything still works fine and there does not seem to be any system failure or error at all. Just seems like the JS controlling the message is a bit over-keen shall we say.
It also appears when I am just flicking from one page to another on the menu.
Just thought I would confirm it is happening although cannot offer any suggestions to fix it - sorry.

Since this behaviour was not up in articles until the last modifcations, why now it behaves that way? -_-
Anyway, I installed revo 2.2.11 just tonight on a fresh site, and it does that popup game every time I try to click on ANY resource in the tree.
I have articles installed.
