non modx content help

I have a third party product service called shopwindow from affiliate window.com that I’m trying to integrate into modx.

The only trouble is that it has hundreds of files, basically I just want to add the search feature and show the results on a different page.

I have it all working outside of modx system, and I thought I’d try and just use an include to include the page I wanted, this works fine also, but when the search page re-directs to the search results page, it just keeps thinking the search is empty.

The search is passed via the url like this all my pages have sef urls, everything gets written into .html , so the searching page is actually searching.html this page has an snippet that includes the php file for the search results.

Does anyone know why its not picking up on the url query string? is modx blocking it?

Actually thinking about this again, would it be possible to output my navigation somehow from modx, so i could include it on a non-modx php file?
