Is there an easy way to track the ammount of visitors out of a mailing?
I wrote about Googles Campaigns URL builder but I like to do it the easy way:
www.domain.com/mypage.html?mailing_001
And then in googleanalytics see the ammount of clicks going to that URL, somehow it doesn't work that great. Looking at Behavior > Site Content > Landingpages the page is not listed.
Anyone who has more experience with this kind of tracking?

You can put a compressed URL from one of the url-minimizer and tracking services in the email. I use Bit.ly.
https://bitly.com/
Just sign up there and then create a custom URL, like:
http://mysite.com/somepage.html?id=campaign1
Feed that to Bit.ly, and use the URL Bit.ly gives you in the email. Bit.ly will track the clicks for you. Use a different id for each email campaign. The query string is arbitrary so you can make it as descriptive as you like. I used to do this a lot with codes like M for links I placed in the MODX Forums, T for Twitter, and F for Facebook, until I realized that I don't really care which links people come in on.

Thanks, its not ideal for clients to add the bitly urls thow, but its a solution.
Will think this over, I think its a bit weird I can't track this with google analytics, I will figur it out.
