I have easy author table (only 2 columns: ID and author_name) with few rows. I want to add another author to the list, but names can not be repeated.
Is there any simple way to duplicate checking when i type name and click 'Done'? I thought about JS (ext) but i do not have much experience.
Again, it might be worth thinking about using a custom-table and a MIGXdb - TV.
Then you could check server-side withing a custom update-processor, if the typed name is valid and throw an error-message, instaed of closing the window, if not valid.
