I have a website for a local theater company and they fill out a few custom TV's for date, time, location, price, etc... I'd really like to introduce a Calendar page which shows these events in the correct boxes based on those variables. I've looked through a few calendars and so far they all seem to populate from PHP snippets, and I'm no good with PHP.

    Any recommendations?

All of the calendars I'm aware of have their own custom Manager pages for managing the calendar.

Basically such a beast would need to know which resources to get the TV values from, and what TVs to use.

You could install fastField (or pdoTools) to get these values, but how to display them in a calendar form would be the problem. Something has to parse the value of the date TV and put that event into the proper block of HTML.

what about using something like http://arshaw.com/fullcalendar/
you can get the events as json by ajax from another resource.

        there is a angular-version too:

I was looking at that. Since it's loaded from a JSON array it would be easy enough to create the JSON using TVs, no PHP required. How that would be done would depend on how these events are organized. I presume each event has its own resource? Are these organized in any way?

Yes each event is it's own resource
