i'm the admin of a site with modx evolution
but i can't delete chunks.
is this a setting in the configuration?

It may be a permission setting in your user's Role.
i don't think i can change it.
it is the full administrator that can't delete chunks. and for the administrator-role you can't change the permissions.

Check the database, check the roles table and make sure role #1 has all of the permissions set to 1.
very strange, is was set to 0 in the database

Check the table to see if it needs repairing. These things hiccup from time to time.
