    Hopefully this will be a fairly simple fix, I'm using the Foundation template and am asking it to show different configurations based on wether the page called is a subpage or not - just to get a subnav showing in the left hand column. The site is delivering the correct chunks, and all the other snippets appear to be working, but the actual subnav isn't being generated. What have I missed?

    Heres my conditional statement

    [[*parent:notempty=`[[$container]]`:empty=`[[$notContainer]]`]]

    container chunk (holds the wayfinder call)

    <div class="two columns">
        <div id="side-nav">
    	[[!WayFinder? &parent=`[[*id]]`]]
        </div>
    </div>
    <div class="six columns">
    	[[*id:isnot=`[[++site_start]]`:then=`<h1>[[*longtitle:default=`[[*pagetitle]]`]]</h1>`]]
    	[[*content]]
    </div>
    <div class="four columns">
            <div id="news-container">
    	<p class="news-title">News & Information</p>
            [[!getFeed? &limit=`5` &tpl=`feedTpl` &url=`http://www.irishtimes.com/cmlink/news-1.1319192`]]
            </div>
    </div>

    notContainer chunk (for pages without children)

    <div class="six columns">
    	[[*id:isnot=`[[++site_start]]`:then=`<h1>[[*longtitle:default=`[[*pagetitle]]`]]</h1>`]]
    	[[*content]]
    </div>
    <div class="six columns">
            <div id="news-container">
    	<p class="news-title">News & Information</p>
            [[!getFeed? &limit=`5` &tpl=`feedTpl` &url=`http://www.irishtimes.com/cmlink/news-1.1319192`]]
            </div>
    </div>

      Typo in Wayfinder should be

      [[!Wayfinder? &parent=`[[*id]]`]]

      case sensitivity is important wink

          Does Wayfinder use &parent? I thought it used &startId

            I tried that prior to posting, didn't work! Even the most basic call - [[!Wayfinder]] generates nothing.

            E2A: Ah Hah! Crazy caps was my downfall yet again! This worked

            [[Wayfinder? &startId=`3`]]

            I'll use ultimateparent to get the top level page, thanks for all your help peeps.

              By the way, you might want to look at pdoTools and its bundled pdoMenu snippet. I just (roughly) translated the documentation for pdoMenu, and it has some really nice properties, as well as a considerable speed increase. https://github.com/bezumkin/Docs/blob/master/en/01_Components/01_pdoTools/01_Snippets/02_pdoMenu.md
