My next project has to be done on GoDaddy hosting (UK).
Any tips tricks or recommendations?
Obviously I want to use the most economical package they offer that will run Revo efficiently (small site) so please shout up if you have any recommendations on that front.
Thanks in advance

My advice is to go with SkyToaster. They start at $6 a month, where GoDaddy has their $5 a month special, and Revolution does not do well on GoDaddy servers. A2 is also a MODX-friendly hosting provider, and has something for $5.
Hmmm
I'm pretty much stuck with GoDaddy unless I can get them to point the domain somewhere else.
I usually run Revo with the dreaded 1and1 believe it or not and it works well every time - I just assumed GoDaddy would be similar.

Then I shall hope for the best for you. Let us know how it works out.
Your biggest problem will be their memory limits, and they don't say anything about that on their site. You also may need to set up customized php.ini files to turn off some PHP settings, like register_globals.
Will speak to the client tomorrow Susan and try to get them to move - I didn't realise the basics were so bad with that host - thanks for the heads-up
As Susan says, GoDaddy is best avoided.
Here are some links to MODX-friendly hosts:

As far as the DNS records, or domain registrars, it's a bit tedious but not difficult to change those. At the moment I'm preferring Hover (Tucows) for my domain registrar, but that's because it provides easy DNS services and the MODX Cloud does not, so I could manage my DNS records through Hover's interface without needing another service. Any DNS service can be used, however, no matter who is registering your domain.
