I changed how I display recent posts outside of Articles. Previously I was using the call,
[[!Articles? &container=`17`]]
[[+latest_posts]]
As expected it works as advertised. But I now need to show the title plus the publish date and a brief intro so I'm using,
[[!getResources?
&parents=`17`
&hideContainers=`1`
&tpl=`latestPostTpl`
&limit=`3`
&sortby=`publishedon`
]]
and the template
<li>
<a href="[[~[[+id]]]]">[[+pagetitle]]</a>
[[+publishedon:notempty=`<br />
[[+publishedon:strtotime:date=`%b %d, %Y`]]`]]<br />
[[+introtext:default=`[[+content:ellipsis=`100`]]`]]
</li>
But it doesn't work, no posts are displayed. However, if I use both methods together it works, I get the title plus the date and intro just as I want.
But this shouldn't be necessary, should it? The second method above should work on its own, right?
