Hi,

I'm a new user to modx and currently building my first website with this CMS. I'm facing a strange issue with friendly urls : All is working great when previewing the site from the manager but once loged-out or from another browser the friendly url do not work for the subfolders, all level 1 pages and blog pages (with Articles extra) are responding ok while level 2 pages are sending me back to the homepage.

I believe I've setup all required options in the system config, the <base href=[[!++site_url is set, Apache conf looks fine (mod_rewrite enabled, AllowOverride All set in virtual host, ...) . But surely one of the previous is not so OK smiley.

Any idea where to look ?

Regards,
-sb

By default in the friendly urls part of system settings folders are disabled. Did you enable this?

You also might want to check out the settings for the page not found (404) etc. So you can recognize it as a 404 if it is.

Thank you for the quick answer.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I'm using Revo 2.2.10.

I don't see any option disabled for folders/friendly url, can you indicate the property key and the required value, pls.

Use the Filter by Area dropdown and select "Friendly URL". Down near the bottom are the settings for using Friendly URLs at all, and for using Use Friendly Alias Path.

Have you been doing anything with Login and access permissions?

Hi sottwell, the parameter for friendly alias path is set to yes, and about permission I've only created a second user to define it as blog author.

Anyway, I've fixed my issue, I'm so ashamed ! Looking for complcated stuff double checking everything while my level 2 pages were not published !!! So sorry for that, a very beginner mistake.

Thanks' all for your quick answer, it made me login several times and go thru the dashboard (where i'm not going often) and spoted the "red unpublished".

Regards
