I decided to use a WYSIWYG to build most of my simple sites with , and use modx to turn them into CMS sites, but when I put in the content in modx my content doesn't move my footer down automatically, it just puts the content over the footer, I hope I'm making sense here.
That sounds like an issue with your CSS and/or the HTML in your Template.
You might want to check the HTML for validity here:
http://validator.w3.org/
Looking at the page in Firefox with Firebug or in Chrome with Chrome Dev. Tools turned on might also help.
between the main and footer div add:
<div style="clear:both"></div>
Evolution user, I like the back-end speed and simplicity
