...interesting...
I wasn't experiencing this problem early this morning, then it began happening, so I posted the post above... then I went to lunch and came back and now the problem is not presently happening.
earlier, I went ahead and reset my computer, just to see if it made a difference, and it didn't change anything -- the browser kept asking if I was sure I wanted to leave each page, even though I had not edited anything.
note: this only happens for resources... if I click an element and then click elsewhere, the prompt does not appear.

Just started experiencing the same problem here, with Google Chrome version 32.0.1700.76 m. Something tells me an update to Chrome has triggered this issue?

I see this all the time in Chrome, but I think only when editing Articles. I think the message itself is from the Manager, not Chrome.

I've started to experience this problem too recently.
It only seems to happen in Chrome (32.0.1700.77) when editing a resource.
Also started to get feedback from other users experiencing the same issue.
In all those cases Chrome (recently updated versions) looks like the culprit.

I have the same problem since yesterday. Also using Chrome 32.0.1700.77 (updated recently) and it only happens when editing a resource and clicking another link. On another website I read: 'Those messages are implemented by website developers by listening to the onunload or onbeforeunload events'. Could there be something in the MODX code that makes the new version of Chrome act like this?

Interesting. I'm using Chrome 32.0.1700.76, which claims to be the current version.

I'm seeing this occasionally now and contrary to what I said above, I think the message is from Chrome. I assume that they'll fix it with an update soon. There's a way to turn it off by having Chrome inject some JS into every page you visit using TamperMonkey or GreaseMonkey, but I'm not sure they are completely safe to use.
