    Is there a way to perform a sitewide search and replace? The DocFinder add-on for Evolution did that, but I haven't been able find a comparable add-on for Revolution. Does anything like that exist?

      Not sure but I think Batcher may have this functionality: http://modx.com/extras/package/batcher

        You got my hopes up, but when I looked, it doesn't have that functionality.

          Apologies! You could perform search/replace on the database if you have access to phpMyAdmin.

            I guess I'll have to do that, if there's nothing available for MODx.

              Janitor incorporates the DocFinder from Evo into Revo. It's a little clunky but it gets the job done.

                  You're welcome! Glad I could point you in the right direction. Hopefully search & replace will be built into 2.3, or at least packaged in a more tidy plugin.

                    Unfortunately, the main search and replace in Janitor is flawed. When trying to replace strings with characters like question marks or ampersands it fails. The search and replace works for plain text, but the search isn't robust enough to handle all the different kinds of strings I would need to search and replace. I suppose I might be able to accomplish it with a regular expression search and replace, but that's overkill for replacing a simple string.

                    The kind of string that I was trying to replace was like this:

                    href="file.php?controller=some_controller&action=some_action"

                    And I was trying to replace it with something like this:

                    href="[[~123]]"

                    It found the string successfully, but did not replace it successfully, even though it said it did.
