    I just made a plugin, chunk, and CMP and thought it might be useful for others. I have used packman in the past to build transport packages. But it looks like it does not support CMPs. I looked at MyComponent, but barely got the CMP setup correctly.

    Some one industrious might even want to go as far as to create a lexicon too. Any takers? No guts, no glory! You can have the kudos.

        Oops. I forgot all about the plugin.

        It is for displaying system alert messages. I am working on a bootstrap theme which has a some styles for alerts. The site I am working on will need to have system messages displayed. Something like "The site will be offline from 1:00am to 3:00am during a scheduled maintenance upgrade." or maybe "Friday is the deadline to turn in all completed forms."

        I made a plugin before that used resources, but I like using the CMP so that you can see all the details at once. It also uses a small chunk to style and the plugin appends the message to bottom of every page's html and css is used to position it.

          If you have the files in the right locations and have your category and namespace for each item set in the project config file, MyComponent should be able to export the project for you, then build the package. Except for the category and namespace, the config file is largely ignored during ExportObjects and Build. In theory, you could delete everything from the config file except the stuff at the top, the namespace and category, and any resources you need. Run Bootstrap once, then run ExportObjects and Build.

          I've never done it that way, so I may be forgetting something.

            @BobRay I don't think my CMP will work. I built it using MIGX. (which was quite easy)

            'actionFile' => 'index.php',

            would be something like...

            index.php?a=81&configs=alertmessages
