    Hi Guys,

I want to search inside custom database tables but i don't know how.
I've looked at the faceted search of simplesearch but that's not what my client wants. He wants the search results mixed together ordered by relevance.
    Example:

    1. Resource
    2. Custom object
    3. Custom object
    4. Custom object
    5. Resource
    6. Resource
    7. Custom object

Thanks in advance for all the great solutions (i hope).

I think that's going to take some custom code, which would be simpler if the custom tables were xPDO-friendly.

      This might be relevant: http://bobsguides.com/custom-db-tables.html

        Hello Bob,

        The tables are xPDO-friendly.
There is no way to integrate that with a search-package that merge all the results?

Do you know if its possible with xPDO to create MySQL views, otherwise i need to get all the results in one time to sort by relevance.
I think that's going to be very slow.

Is a custom driver for SimpleSearch a option? We don't have Solr enabled on our server, so i can't use that.
