    forgive my ignorance...

back in the day when I first started designing/developing websites, you had to pay big bucks for a ssl cert. These days however it seems most hosting providers offer use of their blanket ssl.

Does modx cloud offer this and if so, what is required to implement it?
i have a couple of pages that need ssl protection. and if it makes any difference, I'm using friendly urls.
Thanks in advance for any insight into this

Generally you can use the hosting providers Wildcard SSL certificate, if they allow it to be shared, and if you don't mind their address showing.

If you are wanting to protect the page(s) using your domain name then you would need to purchase a SSL Certificate, and depending on your hosting a Dedicated IP Address (or use SNI if permitted).

That being said I don't think MODX Cloud supports SSL Certificates currently, or it might require manual addition. I do know certificates aren't that expensive figure $35/year for a basic certificate.
