I struggled for hours with this and got nothing but a blank page and felt compelled to share something...

In the tutorial for creating a CMP there is one line in the "Create a menu to your CMP" that reads:
    parameters &configs=doodles

When you look at it there is in fact a field - parameters.

However it appears that the field is actually parameters&configs and you enter (package name)

I assumed that in an update the &configs was reduced to parameters and all I had to do was enter the package name. when in fact you must enter "&config=packagename"
    and VOILA! it works...

This is for anyone else that might be struggling with this...

      its not
      &config=packagename

      but it should be:
      &configs=theNameOfYourMIGX-configuration

you can have multiple MIGX - configurations for each package
        -------------------------------

you can buy me a beer, if you like MIGX

        Thanks!

thanks for the clarification... I was a bit confused about that because the package name and the name of the config was doodles.

BTW, is there any documentation that deals directly with the available fields in the backend forms as the tutorials deal with specific entries, how does one know what all of the availble fields do? I assume they are there for a reason? I'd like to know what those might be.

secondly, is there any way to prepopulate the colum tags from the schema or other means? For a small table like "doodles" it's not an issue but i have some tables that have 20 + fields and it gets tiresome entering all of those in

SUPER GREAT by the way.... [ed. note: d1ckyh last edited this post 12 years, 9 months ago.]
