Hi, first of all I know therea are a couple of extra threads about this, but they refer to issues within a multilingual website. And I have gone through them, trying to pick up some clues, but nothing worked.
My problem is simple: Simplesearch works without the friendly urls. It does not work with friendly urls. The plugin is set to use POST.
I placed a simple snippet on the results page: var_dump($_POST);
When I'm not using friendly URLs, I get the results on the results page, as expected.
And the snippet outputs this:
array(4) { ["my_custom_search_field"]=> string(8) "brochure" ["x"]=> string(1) "0" ["y"]=> string(1) "0" ["id"]=> string(2) "52" }
When I am using friendly URLS, the results page says "There were no search results for the search "". Please try using more general terms to get more results."
And the snippet outputs this:
This makes me believe there's something wrong with the way MODX handles POST when it's using friendly URLs. The plugin is probably working fine, but it's not getting any values passed with POST.
If anybody has a clue or wants to give it a try, I'd be glad to PM the user & pass to the manager, just to speed things up.
