Fist off let me say I have limited knowledge of DB's and writing PHP. I can look at php and understand what it is doing but havent written any as of yet(still learning).

I'm confused at to how I can, in a form allow the user to upload images into a newly created directory on submit in which it will write a reference to the images in the table which can then be referenced and outputed in a query.

the scenario is this: a user via a form selects photos to be uploaded. on submit, they are uploaded into a directory AND the table is updated with a reference to those images, i.e assets/userid/images/img1.jpg, img2.jpg,img3.jpg and so on. to be able to set a query to where it populates a page with the images based on the query parameters.

i'm just not understanding how to dynamically populate colums in the table as you are not directly inputing the path name to the file, rather uploading the images and it may be one or 20 images.

Sorry for my ignorance, and I've been reading a lot but can't seem to find a reference to this. I know it can be done, since the Gallery Package does this, I assume.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction

Are your users logged in to the manager, or are you speaking about uploading user-images from frontend?
