    hi everyone!

usually i’m a motion graphics designer but from now on i want to do some web design as well. so i want to do my own portfolio site with modx to get into the topic. i will describe my situation briefly:

i got a site with a navigation part and a content part. now i want to make my content part dynamic, so i can add stuff by my own. i want to create templates for different layouts (like 1 column, 2 column). the site is basically static, just the content div layer should be manageable by modx.
    how do i do that?

it would be great to hear solutions from you pros so i can get dirty on programming the site and templates.

    thanks a lot

Start by setting up a local development environment (WAMP, LAMP, MAMP, whatever your system of choice is; Windows, Linux, Mac). Install MODx with the demo content and go over it as you study the documentation.

      A good place to start:

My site has a guest login (information below) so you can look at what a (mostly) live site looks like from the Manager end, even if you can’t set up your own dev environment for some reason.
