Answered Demo installation

Hi,

we have a potential customer who is wanting us to create a new website for him. Since he wants to get some insights into MODX and have a playground to testdrive MODX I would like to know what the easiest way is to give him access to a MODX installation with some sample content in it without having to setup the system ourselves.

Most of the other major CMS vendors provide some kind of a online demo installation for that kind of purposes.

There are some 3rd party demo installations on the web but they all have no contents in it.

How do you handle that kind of scenario for your customers?

Thanks,
Rene

you can get a free lab-account on MODX - cloud:

Hi Bruno,

we already have a MODX cloud account, still that does not solve my problem:
I want to show some kind of a real-world sample website to our potential customer.

It seems to me that there is a Sample Site Package - Addon for MODX:
http://modx.com/extras/package/modxsamplesite

Unfortunately I am not able to find this package in the package-management area of my MODX installation - do you?

Thanks,
Rene

There are a few packages with sample site material. Here's a couple that I can think of quickly

http://modx.com/extras/package/theme.bootstrap

Hi Bruno,

thanks for this suggestion - that is kind of what I was looking for!
Still some configuration work to do, but a nice boilerplate to start from...

Again - thank you so much,
Rene
