I followed the modx documentation to limit a tv to a specific media source. Thereafter, ALL thumbnails -- manager, resource browser, etc. -- are broken.

I read this forum post, which is 2.5 years old and discusses 2.2.1: https://forums.modx.com/index.php/topic,65825.0.html. It references system settings that are now deprecated, and had people modifying the core as part of the fix. Not something I can or would venture into.

    I am on 2.2.10.

Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

    **EDIT
    More about what I'm experiencing.

First, I reverted back to using filesystem as the media source and everything works fine.

I next reapplied the new media source ("Images") to a single tv. FYI, I only altered its basePath, since modifying baseURL (which the documentation stipulates) creates an incorrect href path when documents are rendered. The basePath is "assets/images/".

Now, for this tv, thumbnails are broken in Manager (i.e. when interacting with the tv from a document).

When I try to pick a file using the resource manager, I see nothing. It's not looking into the right directory initially. If I click the "Files" folder, then I see broken thumbs.

Under the Files tab, when I select the Images media source, it lists the files within assets/images, but the thumbs that appear on hover are broken.

If I navigate to the same folder through the filemanager media source, files list correctly and thumbnails are fine.

If I navigate to assets/images from the Files tab via the Images media source, but from a tv that has Filesystem set as the media source, thumbnails are NOT broken.

Please help. [ed. note: wpicotte last edited this post 12 years, 9 months ago.]
