Manage Multiple Domains w/ Single MODX Installation

Scenario:

1. Client wants to publish hundreds of his professional (handwritten) medical articles online in both English and German as blog posts.
2. Using something like Google Translate is not an option because the translation is not accurate enough for his needs.
3. He purchased two identical domain names, one .com the other .de with the idea of maintaining 2 completely separate domains (hosted on the same server) with essentially identical content, albeit in different languages.
4. He was thinking he would install 2 instances of the same lightweight CMS (whatever that might be), one for each site.

While this would work it occurred to me there might be a more efficient way to manage dual sites using MODX. I vaguely recall reading something about this a few months ago but I can't remember the details of what's possible, nor can I find the article. Could someone point me to a reference or tutorial?

What I'm not certain about is whether 2 different TLDs - .com and .de - can be managed from only one of the domains.

You need to use ContextRouter and Babel for the multi lingual stuff.

Just so I understand, it's really not a problem publishing to 2 different top-level domains on the same server? For example,

http://mysite.com
http://mysite.de
