Hello everybody,
I am a MODX newbie and trying to instal MODX Revo which works fine but
i have a problem login in the manager after succesfully instal MODX2.2.10 on MAMP.
I keep getting the message that either my username or password is incorrect.
When i try to get my password using the "forgot" field it also says that my username or emailadress is unknown, so that isn't an option too.
I tried it several times, installed MAMP as well as MODX again, but i keep getting the same message.
I cleared my chache and cookies.
Can anybody help me?

Check the modx_users table in the database in PhpMyAdmin.
There should be a user with the ID of 1 with all the fields filled in. I've read of cases where this didn't happen on an install.
Also, if you transferred the MODX files individually with FTP, you may have a missing or corrupted file -- it's fairly common.

I checked the modx_users table in the database and indeed there was one user, and the password field was blank.
I've set the password manualy but i still can't login.
:-(
The password is encrypted, so setting it in plain text won't work.

The last resort solution is to install MODX somewhere else and cut and paste all the password-related DB field from the good site to the problem one.
