How to show file size from the file that users upload via TV.

I would like to show file size of the downloadable file. I knew that there is the snippet like this http://deniskomlev.com/blog/modx-filesize-snippet

However according to this snippet I need to know the file path. The problem is I hardly know the file path upfront since it's the editor who uploads the file from manager side via TV.

Any suggestion for getting file path from TV?
