    Hi,

after changing the redirect path to the directory with the MODX installation (Revolution 2.2.10) I've problems with the manager: only the top area of the manager (div#modx-header) is displayed. The div's below (#modAB, #modx-leftbar, #modx-rightbar) are output in the markup but with no contents in them. The login works fine and the front end of the site is displayed correctly.

    Old server path:
    /mnt/web2/d1/51/21236357/htdocs/abc.de/abc.de/

New server path after changing the server-sided redirect path. The old site was in the root folder of the server, the new one is in the folder abc.de:
    /mnt/web2/d1/51/21236357/htdocs/abc.de/

    Things I tried:

    - I modified the config.inc.php in the root folder, in core/config/, connectors and manager. I checked the files several times and couldn't find a spelling mistake in them.
    - deleting all folders in core/cache
    - deleting the browser cookies and cache
    - logged in with browsers I didn't use for developing the site (to REALLY exclude that it could browser problem i.e. with sessions)

    And nothing worked.

Does anybody have any ideas what else I can try?

    THANKS!

Did you get all of the config.core.php files edited? There are three; one in the site root, one in /manager/ and one in /connectors/

Yes, three config.core.php files and one config.inc.php file.

It just sounds like you've missed one of the paths. There are a lot of them in the config.inc.php file, and it's easy to miss one. I usually just use Vapor to move sites around.

          https://modxcloud.com/userguide/how-tos/import-sites-with-vapor.html

Make a new installation where you want it, "Vaporize" the original site, grab the package Vapor makes from the original core/packages/ directory, put it in the new installation's core/packages/ directory, and install it using Package Manager from local files like any other package.

Or you could try out the not-yet-released Teleport utility. https://github.com/modxcms/teleport

Oh cool, I didn't know Vapor. Thank you!

Could that be a problem with the hoster? I made a complete new installation (new database, new modx-revo download, etc). And when I logged in the first time I had the same problem! I could hardly believe it. So I'm not able to use the package manager to install the package because it's not displayed.

Then it could be the css/js compression in the manager - should be disabled in your case. This could be done directly in the database: modx_system_settings -> compress_js -> 0 and modx_system_settings -> compress_js -> 0

Mentioned here: http://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/getting-started/installation/troubleshooting-installation -> General weirdness in the Manager

But I don't know why it has worked on the old path without disabling the compression.

Strange one. There must be something changed in the vhost/php.ini/.htaccess during the switch …

Yes, I've been wondering that by myself too. I didn't change that file. But the hoster is Strato ... . Now I've one more issue on my possible-problems-with-Strato list.
