I have a problem with EMS SQL manager connection for db on my modx based site. The content in db should be in UTF-8 and uses cyrillic characters, but I see something like "КомплекÑ?ное обÑ?луживание" in EMS.
I connect using TTTP tunelling. DB registranion info: client charset - utf8, font charstet - RUSSIAN_CHARSET. DB properties: character set - utf8 (UTF-8 Unicode), collation - utf8_general_ci.
It’s ok on site and admin section, but when I try to export db using admin section, I get unreadable dump file.
Did someone face the same? Thank you in advance.
I don’t know the EMS SQL Manager, but where and how did you look at the dump File? Not all Editors support UTF-8 or recognize it by default. Could it be that the character set was somehow changed in transition?

This does not appear to be a MOdx issue, in any case.
