combinig modx with another system

is it possible to combine the modx web users system, with the users system of ipb forum system?

It’s most likely possible, but there is no out-of-the-box solution for it. You would need to write some custom code to do it.

now that i know that it possible [in PHP everything is possible ]caan you help me a bit man programming this thing?

an idea of how to do it:
if i only copy the lines of the "Hello "BlaBla"! | mesages | diconnect" (offcourse that what i wrote is an example text...)
and include the login page, the register page, and the massages page to my site.
good idea?
or no?

and if yes i’d like a bit of help of how 2 do it please ;]

You should not expect that somebody in here will program stuff for you. Especially if it could be a rather complex task like exchanging user credentials over different platforms. Unless you hire somebody to do so of course

If you need a unified user authentication system, you should look into LDAP. You can setup all user credentials on the LDAP Server and then access them from all kind of applications that require the user to log in. IPB already allows authentication over LDAP. So does Mediawiki... don’t know about MODx, but you could write your own connector for MODx with PHP http://php.net/manual/en/ref.ldap.php.
