Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to ModX. I only discovered it last week and I am already hooked.
Now what I'm looking for is if there is a guide on how to migrate IPB users to ModX-Revolution. No forums, no posts, just simply user accounts and md5 passwords. I've searched everywhere but can't find anything on this topic.
I look forward to your responses.

MODx uses several tables for users and groups. It is best to get a database dump in csv format for your IPB users, then parse the .csv file and use Revo's API to create the users from that.

Once a user is created, it needs be assigned to a group; you'll need to set up your groups beforehand. Again, this can be done using the API.

Revo uses PBKDF2 hashing, which is a salted hash.

I have had success in manually importing plain-MD5 hashes directly into the database, then using the pbkdf2Convert Plugin to convert the passwords as they get used.
