I have implemented this thing a couple of times now.
Part one of this tutorial works like a dream.
I may be missing a step somewhere. I dunno.
I have done
the CMP tutorial and got the menu option for a CMP to print out some text. But the Doodles one doesn't do anything.
I complete part one... and I see my glorious doodles data show up from the snippet call. Then I start on
part two.
Then I go set up my action and menu option. At first... it has the bogus looking names in the dropdown. But then I set up the lexicon file and suddenly I get wonderful text descriptions!
If I click on it at this point... I was seeing a "1" come back for some reason right on the screen.
Then I set up all the many files.
I make sure to chown the new directories and files so that apache has access to them.
I try to go step by step, but when I click on my Doodles menu option, the screen comes up blank. I do not see the expected tab or the "Doodles Management" heading or the message to "Manage your doodles here." (This is about half way through the second part tutorial. The grid is not implemented yet.)
There are so many steps, I do not know where I might have gotten off track. There are *NO* error messages in the log file. The action and the lexicon file seem to be set up correctly.... But this class or whatever that they are pointing at is just failing silently.
Does anyone know what I can check or look for to troubleshoot this...? This thing with "fail silently" as the norm is making my hair turn grey!
