    Greetings,
I have been away from dev for quite a while and just inquiring about jumping several subversions for a live client site. Yes, I am RTFMing right now, but it would be a great help if anyone could offer some peace of mind per the following:

    - confirming the db is same between 2.2.2 and latest, and if there is anything to be aware of with settings
    - any thoughts on plug ins - in past upgrades, I usually just copy the core upgrade files on top of the existing copy, run setup (a bunch of times along the way) as I individually upgrade the plug ins through the manager
    - any other best practices or undocumented helpful hints

    Many thanks!

In theory, setup will apply all the intermediate upgrades for you.

Upgrading the plugins in Package Manager should work fine.

I can't think of any reason you'd need to run setup more than once.

I generally delete all files in the core/cache directory and clear the browser cache and cookies after any upgrade of MODX, and sometimes for a snippet or plugin upgrade if it's not working right.
