I tried to use addon called 'phpthumbsup' to resize and crop my image. This is what I did on my chunk
    <img src="[[+tv.image:phpthumbsup=`w=100`]]" alt="[[+pagetitle]] Photo">

When I see that page, the image area is broken and I found out that the html is like the following:

    /modx/phpthumbsup/w/100/src/assets/img/autofair.png

the correct path should be from assets/img/...

Could you please guide me where I should go to fix?
my setting is MODX Revolution 2.2.10-pl (traditional)
    And my php is 5.3.xx

I recommend using pThumb. Here is a bit more info.

I hardly find the usage for pthumb. For example how can i use &useResizer?
        [[*image:pthumb? &useResizer=`w=100`]]

        Something like above?

No, it works in place of phpthumbof, (namespace, snippet name, parameters, and all)... so following the phpthumbof instructions works the same to make the transition simple. It's just leaner.

          [[*image:phpthumbof=`w=100&h=100`]]

Just be sure to uninstall phpthumbof as to not get things mixed up.

You have to configure Resizer in the System Settings, please see attached image.

            For usage, please see this:
            [[*image:pthumb=`w=670&h=480&q=75&f=jpg&zc=T`]]

              To complete this:

If you used phpThumbOf before, use pThumb now. Both are just an interface to phpthumb, which runs in the background (as far as I understood). So everything you find on phpthumb (independent from MODX) will work on pThumb (a MODX extra) as well.

In general just replace "phpThumbOf" with "pThumb" (and install the extra!)

The two links you might want to visit are:
              http://rtfm.modx.com/extras/revo/phpthumbof
              http://www.belafontecode.com/image-manipulation-with-phpthumbof-in-modx-revolution/
              and further:
              http://phpthumb.sourceforge.net/demo/demo/phpThumb.demo.demo.php

You can still check the readme file of phpthumb:

Thanks everyone. However it doesn't work.
                This is what I did:
                1. Install pThumb which has resizer (please see attached image)
                2. Set enable to resizer at system setting. (see attached image)
                3. Change the code to pthumb like this <img src="[[+tv.image:pthumb=`w=120&h=120`]]" alt="[[+pagetitle]] Photo">

                The link is still broken.
And this is from html I have got.
                <img src="/assets/components/phpthumbof/cache/Thai-Select-Award_DITP%20copy.85f5728842e1b9ac002cd49d7a93cb35.jpg" alt="Seconds news Photo">

                Anything I missed?

Just to add more information here:
I found that there are some pictures in the file tab where I can see the image that is resized.
However, I have no idea why can't I get to see those images. (please see the attached image here)

When I installed it, I didnt change system settings. Did you test it before enabling the resizer?

                      Hi Gallenkamp,
I have tried to disable resizer on the system setting but it still doesn't work
