Is there a way to add a meta tag or a new keyword to all the documents in a site without opening each document and going to the Meta Tags tab?

I’ve got a site with more than 200 pages and the owners want to make some changes to the tags and keywords. I’m happy to do it one by one and charge them for the time, but, since they are decent clients, I’d rather find a fast way to do this.

Any ideas. I’ve looked through the forums already and can’t find anything like this listed.

Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions.

You want custom keywords on each document? Or general keywords on all documents? You could set a Template Variable with the keyword list and add it to the html template. You can use th @INHERIT binder to have the keywords carry over to their children pages.

Te meta keyword interface in MODx is not very useful since you would need to go page by page. I personally never use it and since you can hide it in the user roles it is easy to keep away from the clients.

If you don’t care that all pages have the same keywords across the entire site, then you could use this snippet. It’s saved me a lot of time in the past.

and even if you had keywords relevant to certain sections, you can still use this snippet by including a different docid for each section.
