Answered Problems with http adress...

Hi there!
I´m having problems to view a website i´m working with.

I worked it locally, and when i publish it get 500 server error , the installation was in a sub folder. Before i changed all configuration files, clear cache, deactivate friendly url, etc. I tried everything. Finally i use a clean install of modx, install all the packages i used, and then upload html css files needed and replace de database data with my local development. Still not view site.

Finally, y upload the site in the root of my website ( for testing purpouse only ), clean install of modx, update db data, upload files, the manager work fine, setup fiendly urls, upload html css js files used in templates.

Finally i realise that the site works if i put manually in the url "http://", if not, get a blank page.

Example:

http://sebastianzahn.com/nuestros-servicios.html

If you follow the links in the main navigation, get a blank page, but if manually put "http://" in the adress, it shows the site correctly ( info and layout ).

If disabled friendly urls get same issue.

Any ideas???

Yes. Some pages work, some page don´t. If you navigate the site you´ll see in some sections a blank page.
Locally it runs perfect.

Can't get any blank pages here, every page is loading fine, can you give a link to a page that is returning blank for you ?

I see that some pages sometimes work and sometimes not, for example:

http://sebastianzahn.com/noticias/otra-noticia-con-su-titular.html

First time see a blank page, but if hit enter in the adress bar it shows correctly, the blank page don´t fix with refresh, it´s strange... i tested in all browsers, safari, chrome, firefox, opera. Clear cache in all.

And sometimes the site is slow as hell, maybe I have something wrong in my config.inc.php file [ed. note: zzseba last edited this post 12 years, 10 months ago.]

I think i get it right, when i upload the entire site get a 500 server error, but with clean modx installation don´t get this, finally i see a php problem setting the local time to spanish ( so instead of November, read Noviembre, used in archivist, i made this change locally and works).

After this, erase all, and re publish the entire site from 0 following all steps.

Now works great, all urls work and loads quick.

I will crop the original slideshow images speed things up ( i upload them im big size to test image + cropping and i forget to upload lighter images ), i also duplicate header chunks for not calling scripts ( like gmap3, colorbox, etc ) in pages that don´t use them.

There was another rule i enabled in .htaccess to remove "www" and this slow the entire site too. I "#" them.
