I think this is a problem few others noticed before. I’ve created a sample package that reflects the same issue I have with IE7 and quickedit.

Run it in Safari or Firefox - quickedit works fine (nevermind the chararacter encoding, it doesn’t matter).
Run it in IE - it displays wrong and you cannot really switch between tabs.

Note : I KNOW that it can be solved by switching DOCTYPE into XHTML. But it should not be dependent on template’s DOCTYPE. My customer have my templates and I cannot change them. When I switch DOCTYPE, whole template is a mess.

Is there any fix I could do either in CSS or JS of quickedit to display it properly.?

Also one other thing I’ve noticed - in toolbar.css of Quickedit, the style
"#QE_Toolbar li" contains definition "text-transform: lowercase;" This is very confusing and I don’t know why it’s there (despite it looks poor).
