    I'm experiencing the problem noted at http://bugs.modx.com/issues/7386 . When I create a new document, some of the checkboxes are checked, and no matter what I do or where I create a new document, those same checkboxes are checked. I've even disabled all my plugins, and opened up a different browser (Firefox, Chrome) and the problem occurs in both browsers. I had recently installed the inheritResourceGroup plugin, and I had begun to test with it, and it seemed to be working, but then the system started this new behavior, and even after disabling that plugin, and all other plugins, the problem persists. Any insights?

      I set up a debugging plugin triggered on beforeDocFormPrerender to simply die and tell me what's in the session. Here's what it gave me:

      Array
      (
          [modx.user.contextTokens] => Array
              (
                  [mgr] => 1
              )

          [modx.mgr.user.token] => modx5287ea975bbe62.95811947_1528d86933130e5.09420494
          [modx.mgr.session.cookie.lifetime] => 0
          [modx.mgr.user.config] => Array
              (
                  [loglogins_contexts] => web
              )

          [modx.user.1.userGroups] => Array
              (
                  [0] => 1
                  [1] => 3
              )

          [newResourceTokens] => Array
              (
                  [0] => 528d86a1d0aa50.80782309
                  [1] => 528d889f966cf0.36043799
                  [2] => 528d8ccba10b98.68910096
              )

      )

      It has two user groups (1 and 3) already in the session, even though I've flushed all sessions, flushed permissions, cleared cache, tried different browsers, and even tried a different computer. Those two sessions are coming from somewhere cached or databased, I suppose, but where?

        Ok, well, the session isn't the answer. The resource groups that are being automatically selected are 2 and 5. I still don't know where that information is coming from.

        I even tried creating a new super user in MODx to see if the problem is somehow associated with that specific user account, but the behavior is the same. It's as if there is a setting somewhere that specifies these as the default groups, but I never set a default resource group, at least not intentionally. I notice that if I use the "Quick Create > Document" option, the new document is saved without being associated with any resource groups, but if I use the full feature -- "Create > Create a Document Here" -- it pre-selects the checkboxes and saves the selected options with the new page. I don't know if that helps anyone with debugging or thoughts on why the problem might occur, but I thought I would mention the difference between the two methods.

            Could this be something to do with your browser caching and form completion?

              I wish it were that easy, but it happened on all my browsers (Opera, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, IE) on four different computers, both Mac and Windows, even in browsers that had never been to the site at all, so no, that's not what's happening. The information is stored somewhere on the server. I've asked around, and other people have told me they've seen the same behavior before, but so far no one has an answer.

                Do you have a password manager like Roboform or LastPass that works in all those browsers?

                  No. I don't have anything like that installed on any of the browsers. I think I've pretty conclusively eliminated the possibility of anything happening on the client side. Something is happening on the server.

                    I have to agree. IIRC, you don't have any Form Customization rules either, right? That's the only other cause that comes to mind.

                      I don't have any form customizations turned on. In fact, the same checkboxes are checked whether I have all the plugins turned on or all turned off. But I'm not running any plugins that alter the manager forms. It's entirely possible that a plugin caused the problem to begin with, but now that the problem is there, it seems to be independent of the plugins.
